I graduated from the program completing 3 months of on the job training as an Assistant Transportation Manager (ATM). This program gave me one year of Supervisory experience. Due to a health scare I returned to Bus Operations after 9 months until I was hired as an Assistant Transportation Manager in June of 2021. I have excellent writing skills, which were developed as a senior writing tutor at Normandale Community College (NCC).Through my work as a senior writing tutor, I was nominated and received the Felton Jenkins Scholarship for excellence in education. In addition, I joined the NCC Literary Corps and the greater Bloomington Community recognized me for my work with that organization. While I was a student at NCC, I also had the unique opportunity to work for the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDot), as a student worker. I was hired as the assistant to the head of Public Relations for the Orion Project, which helped to develop intelligent transportation solutions for the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and its surrounding suburbs. Prior to attending school and working at Metro Transit, I worked for the Hilton corporation as a Convention Services Manager for 5 years, managed a small liquor store in Bloomington for 3 years and for an audio visual service who delivered AV equipment to local hotels.
