After returning to the US, Dr. Chilson went on to earn Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Physics from the University of Florida in 1990 and Clemson University in 1993, respectively. While at the University of Oklahoma (2005 – 2021), Dr. Chilson pursued a wide variety of research topics, including investigations of the atmospheric boundary layer, aeroecology, the advancement of remote sensing technologies, and the development of unmanned aerial systems for atmospheric studies.
