I have primary interests in cognition and motor control, particularly in the contexts of stroke, dementia and elderly care. Specific research skills: - PASW/SPSS, Matlab, E-Prime. - Head-tracking and Eye-tracking (e.g. BIOPAC). - Driving simulation. - Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS). - Kinematic Analysis and Kinematic computerised task design. - Obtaining NHS ethical approval (REC/R&D). - Assisting with clinical trials as Associate PI. - Writing successful grant applications (Medical Research Council Post-Doc Fellowship, Leeds Teaching Hospitals Charitable Foundation Pilot Grants). - Recruiting from a range of populations (aged 18-90yrs) including participants with and without neurological impairment. - Supervising MSc/MD projects. - Teaching at undergraduate/postgraduate level. - Presenting research at conferences. - Publishing research results in high impact journals. - Providing peer reviews for journals.
