Rachel Corbett’s Expertise Hello and welcome to the Reader's Digest version of my professional career! If you're looking for me during the week you'll find me running the podcast and digital content departments at Nova Entertainment, working on my online podcasting course, PodSchool, or appearing on The Project on Channel 10. As Head of Podcasts & Digital Content at Nova Entertainment, I've overseen the creation of their original podcast network developing almost 30 shows (and counting) including Brenda, Call Me, Hennessy's Hotline, Dear Clementine and The Update. Over that time we've won a number of awards including the Media & Arts Award at the Mental Health Matters Awards 2021 for The Space, Best Branded Podcast at the Australian Podcast Awards 2021 for Project ARI, Best Use of Podcast at the Native Advertising Awards 2022 for Project Ari and Best Audio Non-Fiction at the Australian Writers Guild Awards 2022 for The Phantom Never Dies. And if you're wondering how I got here... * For the first 12 years of my career I worked professionally as a radio & podcast host producing and presenting shows for the biggest radio networks in Australia * After leaving radio full time I started a couple of my own podcasts and built an online podcasting course, PodSchool, that's helped hundreds of students create their own high-quality podcast * From 2017 - 2020 I was Head of Podcasts for Mamamia, the largest women's podcast network in the world where I grew the network from 15 to over 35 shows and quadrupled the audience to 1 million+ unique listeners a month and 90 million+ downloads * During that time we also won a bunch of awards including Best Use of Podcasts at the Native Advertising Awards 2020 &2021 for The Split and That's Incredible, Best Business & Marketing Podcast at the Australian Podcast Awards 2019 for Lady Startup and Best Podcast for The Quicky at the Mumbrella Publish Awards 2019 * I've also taught radio and podcasting at Australia's premier radio school, AFTRS and hosted over 10 podcasts including Lady Startup, Eligible, Before The Bump, Get Me Pregnant, Sealed Section, Rethink, So You Wanna Make A TV Show, Small Change, You've Gotta Start Somewhere & PodSchool If you want to know more about me or more about podcasting you'll find heaps of information at rachelcorbett.com. If you want help creating your own podcast you can sign up to my podcasting course at podschool.com.au And if you'd like free podcasting tips delivered straight to your ears you can check out the PodSchool podcast at playpodca.st/podschool
