  My professional life started at an early age as I began working full-time at eighteen years old. Before this, I used to work retail part-time during the semester breaks and I also helped my father with his business. I was passionate about selling and I soon grew to be the Department Head of Women’s Garments in Calcutta. Soon after, my desires started to lean towards marketing and I completed a course in Marketing at the YMCA in Calcutta and earned a diploma in Marketing. The youngest of seven children, I took on the responsibility of attending to my elderly parents who had underlying health conditions. As destiny had it, an opportunity came around for me to take on a job in Jamaica to work with my family and I took it, all while I was waiting to be approved to immigrate to the US in 1990. Soon after, my immigrant visas came through and I have never had to look back as Life continued forward and onward with matrimony, followed by children and soon the journey of entrepreneurship begin in 1994. The journey led to the opening and moving of multiple store locations, venturing into distribution, channel management and delegating managers to help manage the businesses. Rest is history. Fast forward to 2020, the pandemic has taken its toll, the domino effects led to having us choose to shut down our business, cut our losses and move forward. I have decided to move forward into a new phase of life and given an opportunity, my decision is to seek employment and share my earned experience with any suitable organisation and apply my skills to help them grow and grow with them. I am willing to relocate within the United States, preferably in a Tropical climate setting. I would prefer a full-time employment opportunity in Retail Sales, marketing, storefront management, Operations management of retail outfit, pro bono consulting, etc. I am a hard worker and would like to work in a structured, organisational and conducive environment. I am a people person. I believe in offering excellent customer service. As a business family, our traits and our acumen lie in the fact that we are sales and growth driven. We worship our work and protect the interests of the business. I am willing to accept training. I have been married for 28 years and my spouse has worked besides me throughout my entrepreneurial career of Retail, management, accounting, banking, distribution and back office operations.
