  Following the traditional path of paying attention at school, adhering to the law and eating all my vegetables (ok, maybe not all), I was approaching the point in my life where I had to decide what I was going to be doing for a living. As such I decided to go and work as a structural and FEM engineer in the offshore industry. After 6 years of challenging projects I was ready for something new. The opportunity presented itself to work for Siemens Gamesa in The Hague. Working in the city where I am born and raised, coupled with the chance to have a direct impact on climate change is something I could not resist. So that is more or less how I ended up to where I am right know. I am always looking for challenges and ways to further improve myself that also benefit the company I work for. I am a committed team player, willing to push the boundaries. Apart from this I am a positive thinker who likes to create a positive atmosphere with colleagues. I believe this yields the best from people. When I am not working, I like to spend time with my wife, family and friends. I enjoy sports quite a lot, in particular playing football, tennis and following formula one.
