Raymond Mclendon’s Expertise In short, I'm a creative individual, with the technical capabilities of a developer. I strive to learn how to perform tasks in the shortest time possible to achieve the highest quality within the time frame. I've worked in various team environments and have been considered to be highly informative by my peers about various new techniques. Most of the projects I've been involved with had short deadlines (varying from reasonably short to extremely quick), so working in a crunch isn't a problem. On my technical side, I have a wide experience with making post-production pipeline advancements with Python, with some C++ sprinkled in. I've worked in environments using MongoDB and PostgreSQL as their database solution for asset and archive tracking. For pipeline tracking, I've worked with proprietary studio software, Shotgun API, and Google Sheets API for front-end Linux terminal tools. For REST solutions, I have experience with working in Flask to make web endpoints for ease of access for developers. I also have worked with Celery and RabbitMQ, to create asynchronous pipeline solutions for queues of numerous small tasks to be done more quickly. For artist render solutions, I've worked with Rush, Deadline, and Qube! farm systems, and used their APIs to automate and distribute larger tasks for concurrency. On my creative side, I have very strong knowledge working in Autodesk 3D Studio MAX and Autodesk Maya, and a high attention to detail surrounding hard surface modeling; shader creation; multi-layer bitmap texturing (ambient occlusion, specular, diffuse, etc.); color composition and theory; with a strong sense of lighting to give scenes added focus and contrast.
