Until recently, I was with one of the largest law firms in the region, concentrating on day-to-day deskside support with an emphasis in handling hardware setup, system refreshes and migrations to new OS. I am looking for a position that will better utilize my strengths and interests, provide challenges, and will welcome observations and suggestions. I prefer to work with people and solve issues face-to-face as I'm more of a hands-on support person. Phone support is fine, but if it is a “call center” type of position, then I’m probably not what you’re looking for as call centers tend to concentrate on the number of calls you handle and I tend to spend a bit more time with the user to verify everything is resolved and there are no other issues. My background and interests include technology, publishing/graphic arts, construction, broadcasting, theater and photography have been of use when dealing with my work, particularly on the special projects and will be of value to any organization I join. I’m not adverse to a management role but prefer a more support oriented position, whether that be a deskside support or in a project oriented position. I am open to a non-IT position, if the fit is right. I believe any organization I join will gain from my strong sense of dedication, solid work ethic, mentoring & teamwork skills, and ability to find solutions. I can grasp the larger picture, envision new solutions, provide guidance and encouragement to others. I am primarily interested in positions that are full-time, with full benefits and a daytime position. I have no problem with overtime and doing "on call' rotations. Minimal travel is preferred.
