I've worked closely with the game company's developers to assist with designing the structure to support the type of queries needed to show what the players want to see. Prior to that, I've been the webmaster for large organizations, a client server programmer working with PowerBuilder on Windows and Unix clients using Microsoft SQL Server and Sybase Database Server, a Clipper programmer, a Novell, Windows, and Unix system administrator, a hardware technician, and a computer operator.
