Later in my driving career I assumed a consultancy role to small hauliers / owner drivers. Since 2008 I have been performing a voluntary role withing the public sector. This has led to me training in core leadership and coaching for life skills. This role also affords me responsibility for personal development, CPD, welfare and administration of other volunteers within the sector as well as being trained to represent them in disciplinary matters. I have recently taken the position of centre manager within a forward thinking training company, responsible for the day to day administration of the company and management of the contracted personel. As part of this I have also enrolled on one of the courses the company offers and am studying a level 3 assessors NVQ in order to progress my own personal development and to aid my skills in leadership and tutoring. Aside from the above, when time allows, I like nothing more than taking to the water in one of my kayaks or my canoe. whilst I don't profess to be the world's greatest white-water kayaker, getting wet and trying not to drown is something I enjoy.
