  I am one of those rare characters who have experience and work well with people from all walks of life, particularly those on the margins of society. I have experience working with special needs education secondary age students, with teenagers who have behavioural challenges and most recently adult rough sleepers. Before this I was a secondary school teacher running a nurture group for many years until it was closed due to school financial budgets being cut and I also worked in a pupil referral unit with my own small class of teenagers. I volunteer for a charity called the Good Word Trust that trains teachers in all aspects of special needs education in India. This included co-writing a course on ASD and ADHD including the manual, assessments and running the course on line. We also assess, mark and verify the course for the charity as well.
