During the 2020 COVID lockdown, Sarah worked with co-producer David Curry to turn the hundreds of hours of intimate phone calls with the whistleblowing cop at the centre of the story into a smash hit podcast. With download rates in the top 5% of global podcasts, Use of Force has found a passionate audience while earning Sarah a Spotify Rising Star nomination in the 2021 Australian Podcast Awards. It has also found Hatherley a production partner for the TV series - Mark Fennessy and Helium Pictures. In 2023, Hatherley added adventure challenge series OPERATION FRONTLINE to her slate. DIRECTOR'S ATTACHMENT, HALIFAX: RETRIBUTION, 2019 Sarah completed a 7 week Film Victoria funded director's attachment shadowing set up Director Mark Joffe on the first two episodes of the Halifax reboot starring Rebecca Gibney and Anthony LaPaglia. The ideal preparation for production of Sarah's own crime drama. Hatherley filmed a proof of concept for a feature film in development. Working with cinematographer Sky Davies, to create a high end, atmospheric trailer for HUNTED. Produced films include; THE BIRTH a short film by Sarah Hatherley premiered in competition at Tropfest, Feburary 2017 in Sydney. LOST SOUL a film by Sarah Hatherley, had its World Premiere at Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival (Spain) in October 2016. Earned Sarah an Australian Directors' Guild nomination for Best Direction of a Short Film May 2017. Writer / director of award winning short film JUST DO IT. FUNNY FEELINGS Writing and illustrating a series of hardcover children's storybooks, ignited Sarah's passion for demystifying emotions. It also propelled her to create more books, posters, games and the world's first dictionary of emotions iPhone app emotionary, iPad app EQ Game. As well as Funny Feelings emotional literacy teacher's resources - 2023 looks set to see the launch of an exciting new life for Funny Feelings. A stellar advertising career launched this uber strategic creative. And her entrepreneurial creations have even included Boobytrap an edgy clothing brand with an iconic condom bra. But crafting exquisite cinematic screen stories with fantastic creative collaborators remains her joy.
