Sarah Howells’s Expertise Sarah has worked in the music industry for over 25 years, and on-air for radio for nearly two decades. Her passion for both music and connecting community have been key drivers in her career choices. She is dedicated to the development of music and local musicians and has long been involved in the live music scene in Australia. She currently presents Breakfast radio on ABC Sunshine Coast. She presented Stir It Up on Double J for four years. Prior to that, over 12 years she presented and produced on triple j radio, Australia's leading youth broadcaster. She hosted and produced Weekend Lunch and Roots N All, and was the voice of the roots music scene in Australia for nine years. The program showcased the best blues, reggae, soul, funk, alt-country and world music from Australia and internationally. Graduating from the youth network, Sarah has also been presenting diverse radio programs across ABC Radio. She hosted Evenings across Queensland in 2016, melding talkback with her expert knowledge of music and journalism. She's been busy - presenting just about every shift across ABC Radio Queensland, ABC Gold Coast and nationally on Australia's largest radio network. Music is a passion of Sarah's, and she has been showcasing this in her DJ sets for the past decade. She has DJed major festivals in Australia such as Falls Festival, Nannup Festival, and Brisbane's Riverstage, playing everything from dance music to roots music and beyond. Sarah has MCed events from music festivals to corporate events, including being a regular Master of Ceremonies for WOMADelaide for the past 9 years, launching the Brisbane City Council's G20 Project, hosting the Commonwealth Games' Festival 2018 in Brisbane and MCing the Summer of Soul Festival in Gippsland.
