Sarah’s proudest moment of her career to date was winning the RMS-sponsored “Best Use of Risk Analytics to Promote Resilience” at the inaugural London Cat Modelling Awards in 2020. This reflected her efforts to embed climate as an “everyday” element of insurance data and catastrophe models, notably following her successful leadership of a team to develop the UK’s first Climate Change Catastrophe Flood Model. Outside of work, Sarah is a Fellow of the RGS, complemented by her role as Treasurer and Secretary for the Yorkshire & North East Region Committee. She is also an active STEM Ambassador, offering career talks in schools, colleges and Universities across Yorkshire and the North West.
