Sarah Rasmussen’s Expertise I taught 14 students a social media analytics lab that focused on analytics, social listening and engagement. I also assisted in the assessment process for a sports communication course. Additionally, I created monthly social media reports about China North Industries Corp. and the Iran nuclear deal using Crimson Hexagon.I organized, photographed, scanned and digitally edited photographs. Additionally I assisted in the creation of a database that archived the artwork of Peter Wexler for use in a web based digital museum.During this internship, I wrote two press releases, eight email pitches, six Twitter pitches and numerous other social media posts. I also shadowed media specialists, the marketing director, the social media director, an assignment editor, print editors and video editors, gaining firsthand insight into various career paths in marketing communications.I worked on the layout of Atlanta Home Improvement Magazine articles, including creating the layout for a feature article and updating other article layouts. I developed the concept for and created an advertisement for use on the website using Photoshop. I also edited photos and checked photographs for quality, size and resolution.I help Patientco accomplish marketing objectives by developing and executing online marketing strategies. I manage social media content, social media advertising, the Patientco website, web analytics, email marketing, search engine marketing, display advertising, and search engine optimization. I am also responsible for Patientco's visual identity and design graphic materials to promote Patientco products and services.I designed and executed social media campaigns and strategies to drive client objectives. I developed and managed content for a variety of clients, including daily activities such as image and copy development, facilitating conversations in a customer service capacity, reputation management and social media advertisement management. To ensure the success of my client’s integrated marketing communication efforts, I monitored and analyzed benchmarks measuring the effectiveness of the social media programs.At Dalton Agency, I created social media content for LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for a variety of clients including SouthernLINC Wireless, Susan G. Komen Greater Atlanta, Georgia Clean Air Force, Ingenious Med and Bebe & Bella. Additionally, I performed social media reporting using Sprout Social. I also researched and contacted influencers for an influencer marketing campaign, growing brand awareness for Bebe & Bella.I updated and made changes to product profiles, brochures and other print materials using Adobe Illustrator. I also created a corporate event logo, a flyer, a set of distribution maps and supported the marketing department on a variety other projects using Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.I created the strategy for and developed a cohesive visual identity for the organization through the creation of a brand style guide. Additionally, I designed layouts for flyers, info-graphics, event invitations and a timeline using Adobe Creative Suite. I also created and resized images for website usage. Furthermore, I made design suggestions and mock ups for multiple website re-designs.While Interning at The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation, I wrote two newsletter articles and seven press releases. I maintained media relations, built media lists using Vocus (now Cision), created and implemented a marketing plan to promote an event and designed a postcard promoting an annual event. Additionally, I formed and executed social media plans for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest.
