Whilst in the full time employ of Standard Bank, I have built a solid business education which includes a Master of Business Leadership Degree (MBL). Over the years I have gained an immense amount of experience working in various departments of the Personal and Business Banking (PBB) Division of Standard Bank. I am currently employed in the PBB Credit Strategy and Portfolio Reporting team as a Portfolio Manager. The end to end scope of the Portfolio Management role entails Originations, Account Management and Distressed Book Management (Collections and Recoveries) pertaining to Business Lending products. The role requires Strategy Formulation and revision to ensure that credit losses are curbed, driving special projects to deliver IT Solutions to enhance the origination and management of credit, developing behaviour and customer risk scorecards in conjunction with business partners and the scorecard development team and reporting on the performance of the portfolio by using meaningful MIS and Analytics for Strategy Performance Monitoring. Close collaboration with key business partners as well as the overall daily management of matters pertaining to the portfolio have been key to successful portfolio management. Throughout my career I have been involved in various programmes and projects to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, reward staff and improve service.
