I took a little time out and set up my new business as a professional Reiki practitioner. I work with people to help them to improve their physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing. I discovered Reiki myself as such a beneficial treatment at a time when things weren't great for me, and knew that I wanted to do this myself for others. I have worked in HR my whole career in various sectors and specialisms, and that has given me extensive experience in understanding people. These two professional practices make me a very useful people person! It has always been important to me that people are happy at work and feel supported and developed to be their best selves. We spend a lot of time at work. I believe that clear strategy, effective and supportive leadership, make for happy teams, who produce their best work and remain motivated and content. I am still very much in the HR world as an independent HR Consultant, with a particular interest in strategic planning, development and wellbeing. I also love working with animals.
