Sharon King’s Expertise Project management and development are my passions, and I have dedicated my career to improving health outcomes and resilience in the Eastern Caribbean. As a Project Manager at CARPHA, I oversee the OECS Regional Health Project, a World Bank grant-funded initiative that covers six regional member states and aims to strengthen health systems and services, enhance disease surveillance and response, and promote healthy behaviors and lifestyles. I have over three years of experience in managing this complex and multidimensional project, and I have ensured its effective and efficient implementation, coordination, budgeting, reporting, and stakeholder engagement, in compliance with the World Bank's policies and procedures. I have also obtained multiple certifications from the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank in risk management, financial management, and public procurement, demonstrating my commitment to excellence and continuous learning. In addition to my role at CARPHA, I also leverage my expertise in project management, human resource management, and organizational behavior as a lecturer at SITAL College, where I facilitate courses for the ABE Diploma and BSc. programmes. I have over nine years of experience in teaching and curriculum development, and I enjoy sharing my knowledge and skills with aspiring professionals and leaders. Furthermore, I run my own consulting business, Thermy Consulting Limited, where I provide project management, educational technology, research and analytics, and environmental consulting services to various clients. I have a master's degree in environmental science and management and a bachelor's degree in environmental and natural resources management, and I am passionate about applying my expertise to address the challenges and opportunities in the development sector.
