Sharon Lopez’s Expertise • Ensure Ethernet ASE service is installed, while providing consistent status/parity between customers, Business Units, and Engineering organizations. • Plan, communicate, and monitor the overall completion of over 300 projects on average, through to infrastructure build, within budget, and between other organizations. • Receive issues and escalations from ENOC/ECSPC and help troubleshoot to resolve the issue for installalation/completion.• Build equipment shelves, such as RJ45, Node B, Enode B, & SIAD at the cell site in Granite, for vendors that include Ericsson, Alcatel, & Cienna, to support ethernet over sonet deployments. • Input cables & segments for Ethernet, LTE, & EOS paths to cell sites for the 4G network project. • Design several wireless paths which include, ethernet, gige, and evc’s from the Ipag, RNC, MSN, to the MTSO, and to cell sites in the southwest region for optimization. • Create work orders as well as complete several tasks out of the cpdo ran ettcs sw queue, while providing circuit design training and instruction to peers.• Analyze and compare equipment such as routers, switches, dacs, and echo cans and edit or create them in Xng/Granite accordingly for accuracy. • Create and manage work orders to decommission several cell sites in both Austin and San Antonio regions while communicating with other departments to complete tasks in a timely manner. • Maintain dac and router ports weekly at 93% or better accuracy by utilizing the South Texas dacs xconnect discrepancy detail report and updating Xng. • Evaluate and research physical inventory of equipment and xconnects and have designed over 300 network intra-switch circuit paths.Project managed over 600 circuits for relocation resulting in reduced costs & increased savings. Submitted orders to several vendors for circuits and coordinated installs, disconnects and moves. Communicated and coordinated with several departments and external customers to get service installed in a timely manner. Utilized Xng/Granite to design circuits and update pertinent information for engineering and technicians.Processed Access Service Requests with several different carriers to include circuits from ds1 to OC level to achieve optimization and complete cost reduction on average of about $40,000 to 50,000 per month. Communicated with several departments such as planning, design, field operations, and test and acceptance, to ensure target deadlines are achieved and circuits are rolled or activated. Communicated with the customer to emphasize the importance of optimizing their circuits while increasing network capability & achieving cost savings. Documented process to train offshore employees on order processing and also trained and supported any questions on processes involved. STAFF IT/BROADWING COMMUNICATIONS; Utilized software programs to complete traffic checks for ATM/IP circuits to determine optimization, which resulted in an $800,000 cost of savings recovery. Designed IP/ATM OC12, OC3, DS3 and DS1 trunks to increase network capacity and reduce latency. Performed daily audits on existing inventory of network hardware, such as router and switch cards to satisfy both network and customer needs, while maximizing budgeted costs. Planned for customer capacity requirements based on daily audits.• Utilized software programs to complete traffic checks for ATM/IP circuits to determine optimization, which resulted in an $800,000 cost of savings recovery. • Designed IP/ATM OC12, OC3, DS3 and DS1 trunks to increase network capacity and reduce latency. • Performed daily audits on existing inventory of network hardware, such as router and switch cards to satisfy both network and customer needs, while maximizing budgeted costs. • Planned for customer capacity requirements based on daily audits. • Designed DS1’s, DS3’s, OC3’s and OC12’s for both data and voice network capacity. • Gained knowledge of several types of equipment, such as IP routers, ATM and voice switches, LDX’s, DSX’s, and DAC’s to assist in accurate circuit design. • Utilized least expensive providers, issued disconnects, and completed migration/rolls of circuits to reduce costs. • Issued and monitored Notification of Field Activity documents to inform field technicians and customers of work and maintenance to ensure circuit rolls were completed with minimal outage. • Designed and provided the appropriate switch sites with Design Layout Records (DLR’s/CLR’s) to ensure installation of service, such as DS1’s/DS3’s in a timely manner. • Issued Access Service Requests (ASR’s) with various ILEC’s to provide switched and special access for network and customer capacity. • Assisted and trained provisioning coordinators in tracking reports and issuing ASR’s to complete circuit installation.• Communicated with other departments to ensure the installation and activation of dedicated T1’s. • Coordinated between the local company, long distance facilities, other common carriers, and customers to complete installation of an “off net” or “on net” circuit. • Managed several accounts/customers to ensure change orders such as 800 service, signaling, reconfigurations, and protocols are completed in a timely manner. • Increased telecommunications knowledge by attending telecommunications courses for managers offered by the University of Dallas and received a certification.
