Shona Leitch’s Expertise Creating strategies to meet institutional learning and teaching goals and delivering transformative projects is a cornerstone of my career and skill-set. Strong communication, the ability to both influence and inspire change across different groups sets me apart from other L&T leaders. I am an advocate for empowering staff and building capability in staff and students to deliver a future focused agenda. I have led major strategic works including the design and development of an enterprise wide unit academic unit as well as significant curriculum transformations to the largest business school in Australia resulting in significant impact and have shifted the dial on key L&T internal and external metrics across my sphere of influence. This has included managing significant resources, teams and budgets to ensure success. I have worked in the field of academia for 17 years in various roles and am currently the Associate Deputy Vice Chancellor Education (Quality and Enhancement) and the Deputy Pro Vice Chancellor (Learning and Teaching) at RMIT University. I have worked in key quality bodies of work including being the program manager of the first BCom in Australia to obtain EPAS accreditation. My passion lies in the areas of curriculum innovation, development and management with a focus on digital education and creative teaching and learning initiatives as demonstrated by my research. In 2013, I received as part of a Deakin University team a 206,000 from the Office for Learning and Teaching for work into eportfolios in Business Education and in 2015 an OLT grant for 500,000 with a UQ/UTAS lead team on 'Transforming exams across Australia: processes and platform for e-exams in high stakes, supervised environments. I have authored over 50 book chapters, journal, conference and technical papers. As well as research into education practices, I also continues my discipline research into computer privacy/ethics issues.
