I am fascinated by technology and how IoT can transform businesses - whether it be creating better end-user experiences, assisting with compliance or improving efficiencies and driving down costs. I love delving into a customer or market problem and building IoT products that solve them. I focus both on the technology but also on the commercial benefit to the customer. I operate under the principal that from a technology point of view, you can do anything, but it doesn’t always make commercial sense to do so. I have been fortunate to play a small part over the last 19 years in the transition of this industry from Telemetry to Machine-to-Machine (M2M) and now IoT, in various roles from hardware development to building products and solutions for the two largest Telecommunications providers in South Africa and Australia. I am passionate about using the advances in Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Computer Vision, Digital Twin to create visual and meaningful, insight driven solutions for customers. I have 19 years’ experience delivering IoT strategies, products, services and solutions in this exciting space covering Mobile Networks, Utilities, Security, Health, Payment and Semiconductor industries and have successfully converted strategy to tangible products and service delivery that support revenue growth.
