Prior to being enrolled in the Master program Sivakumar had worked at General Motors Technical Center in India where he grew from an Engineer Trainee to a successful CAE Engineer who served as a technical liaison between global counterparts and on-site functional departments to build CAE models of GM vehicles. He was also part of an internal Process Improvement team which streamlined global CAE activities, resulting in 10% increase in savings. He also assisted several DFSS projects and completed a project as Project Leader and was awarded DFSS Green Belt certification. Sivakumar is an active member of The Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) where he attends lectures on a variety of topics.
