I was Assistant Quality Chemist for West, testing rubber WIP and finished goods. I trained in Qualitative and Quantitative Infra-red Spectroscopy, became an Internal Auditor of ISO 9001-2000 Quality Management Systems and assisted in the design, build and function of a new Microbiology Lab. BD allowed me to develop my skills in Microbiology, performing regular bacterial inoculations of media, gram staining and cell identification using Microscopy. I also performed large scale equipment validations, sterilisation of medical equipment using a Gamma radiation system and biological media preparation, along with routine finished goods sterility testing. I enrolled myself onto the AAT Accountancy Technician course whilst employed as a full time in order to be able to stay on top of the book keeping and the tax reclamation reports associated with the self build property project I was working on. Two years into this qualification I thought I would explore the financial side of business and secured the position of Accounts Assistant for Evans Halshaw Vauxhall in Plymouth. I was able to use the skills and knowledge I had gained and helped support the on-going work I had to do to achieve the Level 4 Diploma in Accountancy. Defence Equipment And Support
