  I was born and raised in Momence, Illinois. I was in the United States Air Force. I spend 2 years overseas at Rhein Main AB, Germany, then finished my time at Homestead AFB, Florida. I love to read, crochet, fish, and travel. I graduated from Kankakee Community College in 1996 with an Associates degree in Applied Science. I came to work for KCC in 2022 starting off as a custodian then was promoted to specialist/Mailroom supervisor within 6 months of employment. I absolutely LOVE my new position! I work with a wonderful group of student workers and another part time worker. We not only work well together as a team, we believe in and work together as a family. I believe that a good work ethic is not only showing up to work everyday. I believe it is going above and beyond. I feel it is seeing the "little things" that need to be done and you do them without having to be told. It's stepping up to help someone when you see they are struggling or just need a little assistance to get the job done efficiently. I believe these are also traits of a good supervisor and mentor. Showing others that you are willing to roll up your sleeves and jump in to help get the job done, in my opinion, shows the meaning of "team effort." Kankakee Community College
