Not only was the project a novel one for me and the business, but, in March 2020, the unimaginable occurred when Covid-19 disrupted our lives and we were all requested to stay home as part of a global lockdown. I am still in awe that we were able to manage a project of this nature and magnitude from our bedrooms, kitchens, and studies! I obtained my Bachelor of Commerce degree (Economics and Business Management) in 2013 and have completed multiple other short courses including Toast Masters, Scrum Master and for a bit of fun, a Tour Guide diploma. (Possibly linked to my love for wine and visiting wine estates with friends and guests). I have progressed through multiple roles in my career, including programming (CICS / COBOL), systems analyst and project management and gained enormous experience using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies over the years. I am an empathetic yet firm leader and make it my business to lead by example. I am generally referred to as the guy to get things done, or lately, the “unflappable one”. I appreciate honest dialogue and genuine engagement, most often peppered with humour and sports-talk. I believe in developing and nurturing relationships with people, noting that as human’s we’re wired for connection and no project has ever been completed successfully without a cohesive thinking team behind it. After PM’ing and wine tasting, trail running is my other drug of choice! In my free time, I enjoy time on the mountain with my friends and dogs.
