Steve Haines’s Expertise Marketing, selling and helping run Stuga are my main activities and this takes almost all of my time. After working hard to survive the long downturn Stuga's business took a big upturn early in 2013 and hasn't looked back. We have increased our workforce considerably since 2013 but finding people with the right skillset is difficult. Top of our priority list, as always, is back-up and Stuga's service has been expanded considerably from already high levels; our customers mostly buy from us because of our top class service and we have to continue to improve especially as the number of our sawing & machining centres grows in the market place. Our flagship machine is the ZX5 sawing & machining center which took over two years to develop and has become the fastest, most accurate and most reliable machine of this type that Stuga has ever produced. Stuga is a dedicated and committed team operating in a difficult market but with an honest approach we always try to get it right for our customers. Stuga is owned by me, Steve Haines, and Gareth Green but industry renowned technical expert Glenn Forde also has a share as well as being a Director. Gareth is Technical Director with a very high level of expertise in software and electronics as well as machine design. I have recently updated my profile to reflect the fact that I have been with Stuga since 1999 but only became joint owner in 2009. Steve Baxter, General Manager, takes care of production, service and HR. Stuga machines are made entirely in the UK with all manufacturing being at our factory in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. Our numerous customers enjoy the benefits of dealing direct with the manufacturer especially as we are here in this country. Stuga parts are also resourced in the UK meaning they are always readily available. The British built-factor is regularly flagged up as a significant part of why customers choose Stuga. At Stuga we will be attempting to give an ever better experience to our customers ongoing.
