Steve Heath’s Expertise I had a good career. First Top Gun at Syncor AU, Manager of the Year for my region, 4 Keys to Success in my Zone, DSO winner, special Customer Recognition. I worked on high dose Prostocint therapy with doctors from Yale and Vanderbilt and pilot program for using Cardiolite in ER with Dr. Stephen Stowers (he published a paper on this). Merged CPSI and Syncor staffs into one staff in new pharmacy on same day with no service errors. Helped start new location for Coastal Pharmacy then Triad, test site for Optility and on line training. Managed Homecare and Nuclear at same time and Unit dose Oncology (only person to make a profit) and Nuclear at same time for Syncor. Had 8 regional managers in 18 months while merging CPSI and Syncor and 6 area VPs in one year at Triad. I had a serious car wreak going to work at 2AM, Walked to pharmacy (since police would not give me a ride) to get first run out. Dropped a generator a month later because of injured back and tried to repair generator, was terminated 6 weeks later, 2 days after doctor put me on work restrictions. I've had PT, 3 Cortisone shots,2 operations and even now 2 years after my last surgery I have to wear a bone growth stimulator. As of March, 2017 C-4 and C-5 have not fused. Well it's been nearly 10 years since my wreck and my back still the same. You know location manage is really not as much a manager as just a staff pharmacist with extra duties. The protection of a union would be nice since regional manager (area VP) turn over so much and they have complete control over your employment and you have no recourse it would be better to have an advocate on your behave. I was threatened on two separate occasions that cost me positions by people who were replaced very soon afterwards. The last time I was forced to sign a statement saying I was at fault or they would not allow me to Cobra my insurance or receive my severance pay. I was severely injured and could not afford to be without insurance. By doing this I sacrificed all my disability insurance I had paid into for years. So now I'm just an old short fat man with a very bad back.
