Steve Vess’s Expertise Currently I am retired from Ingersoll Rand Compression Technologies and Services as a Technical Support Engineer for rotary screw air compressors 5 - 500 HP (contact cooled as well as oil free) and refrigerated air dryers as well as desiccant air dryers. Currently teach desiccant air dryer classes for Ingersoll Rand air centers and distributors. I have also taught Sierra oil free rotary classes, Nirvana VFD rotary screw classes, and refrigerated air dryer classes as needed. This position requires a broad overview of various skills such as industrial electrical circuits, large and small frame motors, various industrial sensors and calibration of the different types of instrumentation. Refrigeration skills such as trouble shooting large and small industrial refrigerated air dryers and refrigerant recovery is also required. I am also tasked with writing technical documents and creating training videos to help field techs understand various mechanical processes and theory that aid in troubleshooting.
