He worked closely with elected officials, Hampton City Schools, Virginia Department of Health, Virginia Cooperative Extension and various boards and commissions. He was responsible for leading various City initiatives and partnerships to address a wide variety of community issues. Prior to being appointed as Assistant City Manager he served as a Deputy City Attorney with the City of Hampton with primary responsibilities for Public Safety and Employment Law. Prior to his employment with the City of Hampton, he was in private practice in the City of Norfolk and served as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in the cities of Norfolk and Newport News.
