Farrell's has had two books published with PTP/Book Division of Fountain Head, Arizona: 'Our Path Leads to Readers,' a collection of fiction and nonfiction (2022), and 'Al and the Moon Dogs,' a novel (2023). Steven G. Farrell short film, Mersey Boys: A Letter From Al Moran, won 3 awards at the February 2023 Indie X Short Film Los Angeles International Festival: Outstanding Achievement Award for Ensemble Cast, Outstanding Achievement Award for Adapted Screenplay and Honorable Mention Award for Indie Short. At the Indie Short Film Fest, Mersey won a Honorable Mention for Best Screenplay and a nomination for Best Indie Short. The Mersey Boys: A Letter From Al Moran has won a total of ten awards and five nominations at various international film festivals (England, Wales, Sweden, Israel, India, New York, Canada, Los Angeles and Delaware). The film won the Best Screenplay Award at the Cynon Valley Film Festival in Wales, United Kingdom (October 14, 2022). Mersey Boys also won the Silver Award for the Best Short Film at the International New York Film Festival (July, 2021). Most recently, the film won two Recognition Awards at the Best Shorts Competition in La Jolla, California in December of 2023. The film has been officially screened in ten countries and on four continents. The film's last screening was at the Liverpool Indie Awards in March, 2024. Farrell's essays, articles, stories, interviews, reviews, plays and screenplays have appeared in over three dozen magazines, including Film & History, Society of American Baseball Research, Archival Outlook, Boxing News 24, Day Trippin', The Irish-American Post, Scary Monsters, Off the Wall Plays, Crime, Lost Treasure, Talking Pictures, U.K Music News, Liverpool Beat, Candlelight Stories, The Path, Audience, The New England News, Kenosha News, Greenville Journal. The Sport Digest, Frontier Tales, 28 Days Later Analysis, Crypt, Irish American Cultural Institute, The Esthetic Apostle, Mundo Beatles, Peru, Irish Central, Battle Royale With Cheese, Downtown, Japan-zine, Celtic Cafe, British Beatles Fan Club Magazine, Wild Sounds-Canada, AHF Magazine, Irish American Baseball Society, The Yard Crime Blog, Tahoe Onstage and Limerick Post, Ireland. Steven G. Farrell spent the nineties teaching in Japan and Saudi Arabia. He also taught social studies at a middle school for several years at the start of the current century. Steven has taught at ten universities and colleges., including Texas A&M University, UW-Parkside and USC-Upstate. His teaching career has spanned almost forty years. .
