Though my work is pretty far removed from the outcome, I can still feel the impact and know that the work I’m doing is more than just a paycheck. Having a job that gives me this sense of fulfillment will always be important to me. I think there are opportunities every day to positively affect people’s lives. It doesn’t always have to be something big: helping a peer who is behind in work or teaching a skill to a junior employee. I see all of these things as interconnected. That’s why I think such a lofty quote has real meaning for me, every day at work, as a business analyst.
