  My career in technology sales started in 1986 when I joined NCR on their marketing & sales graduate program. Fifteen years at AT&T, Global Crossing, Thus, C&W & Vodafone gave me great insight how global organisations function and their huge dependence of securely connected communication infrastructure and networks to manufacture and trade globally. I fulfilled a career ambition to work independently in 2013, since when I have advised over 30 different businesses (and invested in some as well), on projects ranging from 3 months to 2 years, as well as speaking on sales development at many events, including leading leading University business schools. Successful priojects include the turnaround and subsequent sale of Superglass to TechnoNicol Group. Most recently I fulfilled another career ambition by joining the Sunamp board, advising on sales growth & globalising the sales capability for their world-leading Thermal Storage technologies that will make a real difference to solving the climate crisis. All through my career I have always enjoyed the interaction I have had with my colleagues both in the UK and across the world and with the many clients and companies I have had the pleasure of meeting and working with. My approach to work has been heavily influenced by my upbringing in Newcastle, my love of playing team sports and being part of a collective with a common objective as well as my love of golf where continuous improvement and mental performance are key to success. I am also an aspiring photographer and occasional pro-golf caddie. I am always interested in 1-2-1 coaching discussions, speaking at sales conferences, meetings, events & workshopping growth strategies on topics such as the mentality of high performance selling, creating marginal gains in sales & modernising sales teams in traditional markets.
