RESEARCH EXPERIENCE Role of Exosome/Extracellular Vesicle in pathogenesis and as Biomarkers. Tissue derived exosome for organs specific exosome markers. Exosome, HIV, Drug of abuse and Neurological Disorders. Investigating the impact of HIV infection on innate immune in HIV infected patients. α47 integrin present on host cells recognizes the V1V2 domain of the HIV-1 envelope protein. By biochemical and mutational analysis, we showed that glycosylation is a key modulator of V1V2 conformation and binding to α47 We investigate that gp120 monomer, and scaffolded gp16-V1V2 envelopes induce robust α4β7 blocking Abs which significantly blocked α4β7: HIV envelope protein interaction. Generated fully functional protein microarrays, with monolayer arrangements and complete control over their orientations, using recombinant proteins produced by introducing non-canonical amino ac-id by site-directed mutagenesis. Showed the potential of unnatural amino acids to enable non-natural functions when incorporated in the protein scaffold of heme metalloproteins.
