My philosophy of education is based on the principle of practising a student-centered classroom where a student plays a vital role in learning and the teacher acts as a facilitator. I bring different instructional materials to deliver the topics beyond the textbooks and prescribed resources. Making my students realise their true potential and keeping the learning space as collaborative as possible is one of the few aims for every lesson I deliver. In the past and at present, I have been an active member of the school’s outdoor activities, educational trips and educating students about social and personal education. I have also acted actively in setting up various technology-related camps and labs for underprivileged kids/people in rural areas as part of school service programs. I find myself quite competitive in the delivery and administration of the IB diploma program. Being a workshop leader for TOK and Computer Science has helped me to connect to educators around southeast Asia and facilitate a greater understanding of the course delivery and assessment components to the immediate IB community. I have done numerous school visits in the past. This has helped me apply the old and the new Standards and Practices more holistically, considering the schools' local contexts.
