She taught her children at home for more than 25 years, taught 3rd and 4th grade CCD classes at St. Monica's Catholic Church, Mishawaka, IN, and taught marriage prep with her husband David while parishioners at St. Thomas the Apostle Parish in Elkhart, IN .
