I started my career as a credit liaison officer in Stanbic Merchant Bank where numerous clients were provided with facilities which led to a turnaround in their businesses. After a great achievement & the experience gathered in supervisory role as team lead customer Service, I was then moved to the custody dept in other to have a different kind of experience involving Asset custody operation where I became the Team lead, Settlement and confirmation. due to my performance & accomplishment in the custody business, I was headhunted to pioneer a new business unit called GIS(Global Investors Services)the custody business arm of UBA, During this period, The client base grew from 2 clients to over 200 custody clients. As Head of operations, I ensured zero tolerance to errors, no regulatory sanction, minimal failed trades, productivity also improved with cost effective process management which also led to increased earnings, the asset under custody grew from 400m to over N1.5Trn. Transaction banking income was also increased through enhanced service offering and cross selling initiatives. I was part of the team that set up the custody arm of the business in the francophone countries (Cote D’ivoire), served under various committees of the asset custodians of Nigeria & also part of the team that helped to facilitate the transformation of hard copy certificate of capital importation to electronic form in the Nigerian capital market which was successfully launched in 2018. As head of operations, I ensured improved knowledge sharing & performance mgt in the dept to drive staff productivity. I led the team to facilitate effective mgt of risks and enhance capital efficiency, I have demonstrated proven key competencies in leadership, interface, planning, communication,, negotiation, selling / marketing / Project Execution like the custody 2000 and Microsoft Dynamics which is the new custody software just to mention a few and also developed key competencies in treasury opt, cost recovery,& project mgt . I am eager to take up the role of a Managerial/Supervisory to offer world class support.
