Tracey Winters’s Expertise Tracey has 35 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, in diverse roles including government and regulatory affairs, media and communications, environment, land access, project commercialisation and asset management. In 2017, Tracey joined Santos, a top ASX-50 company, Australia's biggest domestic gas supplier and a leading supplier of LNG to Asia. She is a member of the Executive Committee, responsible for government engagement and strategic communications. In addition to her executive responsibilities, Tracey is a non-executive Director of Queensland Rail, serving on the People and Safety, and Major Projects Committees. She is also a member of the Industry Advisory Committee for the UNSW Minerals and Energy Resources Engineering School. Prior to joining Santos, Tracey was an adviser to Caltex on public affairs and strategic issues management, in particular wage underpayment by franchisees. From 2011 to 2016, Tracey drove the environmental approvals and land access processes to deliver QGC's 20 billion QCLNG project in Queensland, successfully managing highly contentious and complex issues across a broad range of internal, government, community and media stakeholders. During her time at QGC, Tracey led an organisation of more than 200 people and managed a budget of more than 200m. She was a senior sponsor of the QGC Women's Network, a member of the Executive Management Team and the HSSE and Licence to Operate Executive Committees. Earlier in her career, Tracey held a senior role in federal resources and energy policy and politics for seven years and over more than a decade built and ran a successful government approvals and environmental management consultancy serving some of Australia’s biggest resources companies and delivering major project approvals for some of the nation’s biggest gas and pipeline projects.
