I’m a male registered nurse with over 20 years experience working within the health care trust and in my spare time my other passion is fly fishing, which helps me relax and unwind. My passion for fly fishing has now progressed into working within the team at Ladybower Fisheries. My role as the accessibility coordinator is to raise awareness of the therapeutic benefits of fly fishing and to assist disabled anglers in the heart of the Peak District National Park, renowned for its natural beauty. Ladybower Fisheries aim is to provide access to the water to all. This includes anglers with Physical, Medical, Learning, Sensory and Mental Health Disability’s. We already work closely with Fishing for Heroes, The British Disabled Angling Association, Accessible Derbyshire and the Wheelyboat Trust. We have a dedicated disability access fishing pontoon and wheelchair accessible boats. All activities are fully insured and risk accessed by our experienced in house staff and can be tailored to your individual needs. No Fly Fishing experience is needed and all equipment can be provided on the day.
