This allows, in case of failure of some tests, being able to analyze all the messages exchanged from handset and network and understanding if it’s necessary to open a defect on the tested handset in Mercury Test Director. Optimal knowledge of GSM, GPRS, UMTS, HSDPA (R99, R5, R6), DVB-H standards and especially the messages and the procedures used in layer 2 and 3 of the protocols stack, such as RRC and RLC, in order to correctly analyze the log files collected. Common failures detected: - Problems during multicall (CS+PS) tests under HSDPA and R99 coverage - Wrong behavior in intersystem 3G-2G tests - Wrong behavior when handset is locked in 3G only mode - Wrong behavior during manual network selection - Wrong management of the PDP (Activation, Deactivation, Reactivation).
