I am also an experienced social work strategic leader and manager with over twenty years of experience in statutory children’s social work. I have a significant amount of knowledge and expertise within the front door of children’s services in terms of developing Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hubs and single assessment child protection teams. As a successful Principal Social Worker within the sector, I have been able to become part of both regional and national partnerships focussed on evidence based models of best practice. I am motivated and driven to provide the best possible service delivery for children and families and to understand how excellent practice can be developed whatever the size and resource of the provider. I continue to maintain my social work registration and have enhanced this over recent years with becoming a qualified Clinical Supervisor, a Mindfulness Now teacher and a qualified QEC practitioner. I continue to focus on my learning and development and to keep informed about the most up to date research and literature in relation to understanding trauma and the benefits of trauma-informed approaches.
