Looking at key actions, reviewing existing interaction elements and patterns, device specific elements, the various states of an interaction, error messaging, information and guidance around individual elements and creating user-journeys/flows, specifications, wireframes and high and low fidelity prototypes. My past experience working on an award-winning disability website for the BBC ensures accessibility standards are always acted on, and cognitive, physical and sensory needs taken into consideration. VISUAL DESIGN / UI DESIGN I also sometimes do UI or visual design and print too when required - taking into account my findings from UX research (mainly personas and establishing the target audience for a product or service). Using colour-theory, typography, illustration and photography to set the tone and strengthen visual brand identity. Producing designs for individual components and templates, icons and banners/advertisements. Providing markup, and finished designs to developers, maintaining visual design pattern libraries, and applying a visual skin to high fidelity interaction design prototypes using a variety of tools, for user-testing purposes.
