Warren Sherk’s Expertise More than 10 years of experience managing one of the world’s great paper-based collections documenting film history. As an Associate Director for Special Collections and the Photograph Archive at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Library my job is to preserve and protect more than 2,000 manuscript collections and 13 million photographs so they can be enjoyed by present/future generations, acquire new diverse collections, manage the processing of collections to make them available for research use, and excite and inspire others to appreciate and use original source materials documenting film history. I report to the EVP of collections, serve as a member of the Library management team, and represent Special Collections and the Photograph Archive with the Academy Museum, Digital Management Services, and more.
