During this time, I actively participated several in research projects around the world including: collecting lake cores to study environmental and climate change in Mexico, conducting a bathymetric survey and to assess lake sedimentation in Tanzania, and collecting tree rings to examine the climate history of Israel. Before teaching in Lunenburg, I worked as an Earth Science teacher for Chelmsford, and before that as an environmental scientist working for the US Army Corps of Engineers.
