  I started out as a Certified Nurses Aid doing home healthcare. To help seniors and disabled clients with their activities of daily living including but not limited to personal hygiene, dressing, cooking, cleaning, etc. Most of my experience in this role came as Clinical Care Technician in the Cardiac Care Unit. There I helped with imaging during angioplasty, left and right heart catheterization. As well as setting up tables, prepping and draping the patient in a sterile fashion, assisting the physicians during said cases. In that time I started cross-training in Cardiac Electrophysiology as a Radiologic Technologist. Moving forward my first position in the EP lab my roles were mainly to circulate, paperwork for electrophysiology cases. Pacemaker lead analyzing and imaging during CRT cases. Also here I learned the set up of various radio frequency catheter generators and associated catheters, as well as cryo ablation focal and balloon catheters and generators/consoles. Presently I work in an Electrophysiology lab that is more hands on. Including the duties from my previous experience in the EP lab I now scrub to assist the Electrophysiologist in various device implantations, cardiac EP ablation, and laser lead removal. Other roles and responsibilities include monitoring, evaluating and stimulating during these cases. I am currently studying to attain my RCES.
