Yves Terrat’s Expertise Working in the field of genomic for more than 10 years but also familiar with experimental biology and molecular biology methods. Concepts of evolutionary biology are the driving force of my research philosphy. I am used to work for academic research related subjects (as bacterial genomes evolution & gut microbiome metagenomic analyses) as well as applied research fields (pathogen virulence & algae bloom prediction). Being now a specialist of massive data analysis, I always keep in mind to make a strong link of bioinformatic predictions and experimental data. I also strongly believe that specific bioinformatic tools should be designed for specific biological question thus making big data a lot more valuable and interesting than the standard predictions based on usual tools. Finally, I am a real team play and I love to discuss/explain/teach my research to various publics.
