LNG Engine Controls Engineer Aug 2016 - Feb 2017 u25cf Led testing efforts, performing software and hardware validation in the sim lab and on locomotive. These efforts contributed to the quality of our product to FEC and ensured readiness for launch. u25cf Owned 17 different software features which allowed me to establish what was needed and desired by the customer and ensure that we delivered a satisfactory product. u25cf Helped develop the physics behind a model that detects leakage in the Gas-Actuated Valves and compensates accordingly. Design included kit BOM as well as the creation and testing of software configurations u25cf Wrote and carried out validation procedure for Vale locomotives built in the Erie factory, one of the first customers with LocoVision to come out of the factory.u2022 Received extensive training in operating and maintaining machining equipment u2022 Produced parts for Senior Design Projects as well as parts for the Mechanical Engineering Department u2022 Provided other students with hands-on training in working with the equipment. - Responsible for ABS Society Gap Analysis report and objective evidence sheet; report provided proof of GE parts meeting ABS standards - Provided support for the Series X DOORs team; verifying and updating current information - Updated and maintained Tier 4 program schedule in Microsoft Project, providing final program schedule - Provided support in FRACAS documentation, responsible for maintaining master spreadsheet of FRACAS items - Supported and tracked shipment of Series X Benchmarking Project engine components to GE Jenbacher and GE Bangalore. u2022 Assisted in all duties of lawn care and maintenance, including mowing, weeding, trimming u2022 Was a major asset to the company being one of only two regular employees u2022 Assisted in landscape design and problem solving when executing the design u2022 Clients included corporate properties as well as residential homes.
