To be responsible for carrying out therapeutic interventions with a variety of clients and using a range of specialist therapeutic interventions as appropriate, with particular emphasis on advanced CBT approaches. To evaluate the effectiveness of such interventions using proven and established means. To see clients for individual, couple, family or group therapy, as judged appropriate from the available evidence. To plan the course and length of the treatment programme, in consultation with the client and in accordance with national guidelines for IAPT. To plan and prioritise own workload, while working within the above guidelines. Where the post holder is the only staff member involved with a client, to take responsibility for coordinating aspects of that client’s treatment plan. To contribute to case reviews and case discussions as appropriate.Being part of an Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service in Kent Prisons and/or Dover Immigration Centre and will provide high intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) interventions. Work with prisoners/detainees who have a range of complex Anxiety and Depression related problems for which CBT is demonstrated to be clinically effective. Work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages. Provide an advisory service on matters related to the practice and delivery of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to individuals / groups / committees across the area.
