After college, I eventually settled in at a National City Bank (now PNC Bank) in Louisville. I worked my way up from teller to head teller in less than a year. After being in this position for a little over 2 years my wife and I left Kentucky for Overland Park, Kansas, where I had several friends and employment connections. Since moving to Kansas, I have been immersed in the mortgage business, having worked for Capital One Home Loans from April 2007 through April 2009, Bank of America Home Loans from May 2009 through June 2012, and CapWest Home Loans from June 2012 through now. Most of my focus has been on the "closing" side of the mortgage transaction. At Capital One, I attained the level of Senior Escrow Processor, where it was my responsibility to lead a group of about 10 team members in assisting the closing and post-closing departments in closing and funding loans. Having left Capital One due to a site-closing in April of 2009, I found work at Bank of America as a closer, where it was my responsibility to draw up closing documents and confirm the details of a transaction with customers. After another site-closing, I came to work at Capital One Home Loans as a closer in June 2012. After 4 years of exemplary production, I was promoted to my current position of Closing Manager in May 2016, where I am responsible for leading a team of closers in completing mortgage transactions in a timely and accurate manner. I have been married since May of 2003 to my high school sweetheart. We have two Cairn Terriers, which are essentially our children. I am an avid Kansas City sports fan and enjoy technology and learning as much as possible about new ways to use it, especially when it comes to the mortgage business.
